Hello, I’m an Imagine Academy of Columbus Wildcat! And I’m proud to be one! I have been a student at IAOC since the school opened in August of 2005. All of the teachers and staff here are very supportive. When you make a mistake, they will do their best to help you fix it. At IAOC, we have the Wildcat standards. These standards are what you must follow or meet while you attend our campus:

At IAOC, we respect everyone and everything. The teachers and staff respect the students; the students respect the teachers and staff. WILLINGNESS means quick to act, to respond. For example, you are willing to help out if needed. INTEGRITY means to uphold your principles; doing the right thing even when no one is around.  LEADERSHIP means to be a positive role model for everyone, show respect & responsibility. DEDICATION means showing determination and energy in completing tasks.  COMPASSION means to be kind to others, even if you don’t like them. To be an ACHIEVER, you have to work hard and commit to your studies. Last but not least, to be THANKFUL, you have to be grateful and take pride in the things we have and that are provided for you.  Now you know what it means to be a true Wildcat. We hope to see you at our school sometime soon!  By: Cody Moore, 6th grade

At Imagine Academy of Columbus, the teachers and staff teach the students to be leaders and how to represent leadership daily. Since enrolling at IAOC, the teachers have taught me how to be a leader and show true integrity. Attending here has brought me ample opportunities to be a leader. For example, I am a peer mediator for grades K-8. I, among other students, mediate our peers and help them solve their problems peacefully. Being a peer mediator has taught how to carry myself as a leader and how to deal with my own problems.

I am also in peer mediation guidance groups. We talk to students about peer pressure and what to do when you are experiencing peer pressure. This also helps students make better choices in and out of the classroom. Since the peer mediation program started, there have been less altercations between students and the program has made many role models and leaders throughout the school.

I love coming to school here because I learn new things every day. The teachers really care that every student gets the proper education. They take time to make sure they understand the material. Before coming to IAOC, I had a lot of trouble with math.  Thanks to my math teacher, I understand math more clearly. My reading teacher has helped me improve my reading comprehension. My homeroom teacher has helped me improve my Language Arts, Science and Social Studies skills.

Coming to Imagine Academy of Columbus has turned me into a beautiful young lady inside & out and given me tools to take into adulthood!  By: Marie Christian, 6th grade
